Our vines are located in the middle of the DO Alentejo region, at the feet of the Ossa Mountains, reaching altitudes that start at 300m and get up to 350m.

The soils are made of schist deposits , poor and austere, of corrugated orography, which influence decisively our viticulture and the character of our wines.

The region's special microclimate, influenced by the Ossa Mountains, assures a slightly higher than average rate of rainfall, as well as a slightly inferior exposure to the sun when compared to other areas of Alentejo, which allied to the soil characteristics, results in particularly fresh and elegant wines.

Surrounded by forests of cork trees, holmoaks, olive trees and natural pastures, the vines, spread in a total area of 6 ha., are divided in 3 parts around the House and Cellar, with different sun exposure and altitudes.
The grape varieties are exclusively portuguese, as we believe it to be the only way of respecting the identity and history of our wines.

The red grape varieties are: Trincadeira, Alfrocheiro, Aragonês, Tinta Caiada, Alicante Bouschet and Touriga Nacional; and the white grape varieties are Antão Vaz e Arinto.
